What to Verify Before Buying a Torah Scroll
A Torah scroll is a sacred acquisition for generations. These are the standards we keep in every scroll.
Parchment height and ark fit
The common heights are 48 cm and 56 cm. A compact scroll can be written at 42 cm or 36 cm, to fit the measurements of your Aron Kodesh.
The four script traditions
Faithful writing in all four traditions: Sefaradi (Vellish), Beit Yosef (Ashkenaz), HaAri (Chassidic) and Chabad, following the halachic authorities and the Keset HaSofer.
Double computer check and human proofreading
Every sheet goes through two computer scans and a full human proofread by two proofreaders.
Lifetime halachic warranty
Written on handmade klaf shelil with durable ink that does not fade. Comes with a signed kashrut certificate and a lifetime halachic warranty.
