This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site or contact us, why, who receives it, and how you can see it, correct it or ask us to delete it.

Who is responsible for the data

The site is operated by Peer Bikdoshim, a brokerage service for Judaica and STaM.

What data we collect

  • Inquiry or order details you send: name, phone, email (if given), community or institution name (if given), the items you chose, dedication text and notes.
  • The list of items you build on the site is kept only in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us until you send it.
  • When an AI agent sends an inquiry on your behalf, the inquiry details and the agent name are stored as well.
  • Technical data logged automatically by our hosting providers for security and operation: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time of access.
  • One cookie that remembers the language you chose (locale_choice), and sign-in cookies for the admin area, for staff only.

Visit statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. Each view records the page, the site you came from, country and region, browser, operating system and device type. To tell visitors apart it creates a hash from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. We see only aggregated figures.

We do not use any third-party advertising or tracking tools. If we add one, we will update this policy and ask for your consent beforehand where the law requires it.

Do you have to provide the data

There is no legal duty to give us any data; providing it is your choice. Without a name and a way to contact you, we cannot handle your inquiry or order.

How we use the data

  • To handle your inquiry or order and contact you about it.
  • To coordinate with the supplier or scribe who provides the item.
  • To issue accounting documents and keep records as the law requires.
  • To secure the site and prevent misuse.

We will not send you marketing messages (WhatsApp, SMS or email) without your explicit prior consent, and you can always ask us to stop.

Who receives the data

  • The supplier or scribe of the item you ordered, only the details needed to fulfil the order.
  • Service providers who run the site for us: Vercel (site and image hosting, visit statistics) and Neon (database).
  • WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us through it. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to its own privacy policy.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data or pass it on for anyone else’s marketing.

Where the data is stored

The data is stored on our service providers’ servers outside Israel, mainly in the United States (the Neon database in the AWS us-east-2 region). It is transferred to provide the service and subject to the providers’ data protection commitments.

How long the data is kept

Inquiry and order details are kept as long as they are needed to handle them, and then for the period the law requires records to be kept (for example for tax purposes). Technical data is kept for a short period by our hosting providers.

Data security

Access to the data is limited to the people whose role requires it, the connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), and the admin sign-in is protected by a password and attempt limits. No system is completely immune; if a serious security incident occurs we will act as the law requires, including reporting to the Privacy Protection Authority.

Inquiries through AI agents

When an AI agent contacts us on your behalf, the agent’s operator also processes your data under its own terms. An agent may give us your details only if you have allowed it to. An inquiry through an agent is not a binding purchase.

Your rights

  • To see the data we hold about you.
  • To ask us to correct data that is wrong, incomplete or out of date, or to delete it.
  • To ask us not to send you marketing messages.

Minors

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors under 18 without a parent’s consent.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. A material change is published on the site before it takes effect.
